Hello everyone! Today is the last post on my blog, an important moment. Almost finishing the semester of classes I can say that I liked this English course. After two years of online classes, I really missed the face-to-face modality and what I like about the English course is that it allows me to meet people from other careers. Although the classes were very early, I liked meeting and sharing with new classmates. Personally, I think that one of the things I need to improve in my English has to do with grammar. Hi everyone! Today I am going to talk to you about my career, specifically about the study plan and my opinion about it. Now, I am in my fourth year of sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Chile. I really like the career but if there are things that I would like to change to the program. For example, we have many theoretical branches like "Contemporary Sociological Theories", "Sociological Theories of Modern Society", "Classical Sociological Theory" and more. But the branches of more practical subjects are few and they are just beginning the third year of the career. In addition, in the theoretical branches, very old theories are often seen that do not ground themselves to the current problems of society. Sometimes the things that are studied in the program cannot be taken to the present and that makes it difficult for the work that comes after leaving the career. Also, being so theoretical, the career is very academic.
